The setup has one coax from the dish to my attic, and I believe the SWM splitter is in the attic. The power inserter has always been in the master bedroom and everything worked fine. Now that we deactivated and removed the receiver that was in that room, the other 2 receivers quit working. The power inverter is still plugged in with the "to LNB" plugged into the coax port on the wall. I assume that port leads to the red power pass through on the SWM, but I haven't gone up and checked yet. Everything has worked fine until removing the receiver from the power inserter spot. Does it need to be plugged into a receiver, or can it just be powered and plugged to the coax that leads to the red pass through on the SWM?

The SWM power inserter supplies the voltage to the SWM LNB on the dish if it was never connected then you would have the 775 from the start. The power inserter needs to be connected to the red power pass through port on the SWM splitter that is connected to the coax from the dish.
