Again Peds, you choose to read what you want to see instead of what was actually written.
The OP's problem is easily cured as I've indicated - by buying a gaming adapter and connecting it to the HR44's Ethernet port. Because of the IEEE 802 standards, this is guaranteed to work just as the Ethernet port would normally work. I am certain that the approach I've suggested will cure this problem, because the Ethernet port of the HR44 works to connect it to the internet - because it was designed to do so by the manufacturer and I've demonstrated that it works as designed.
WRT to your other comment - you've chosen to misinterpret my complaint about DTV again. My complaint in this case is not that the CSRs didn't know what the problem was - my complaint is that the software team has intentionally created a problem for Ethernet configurations without having any reason to do so. They made a change that is guaranteed to break Ethernet only configurations, when they could have had the exact intended functionality without breaking Ethernet configurations.
You can choose to demonstrate your inability to read and comprehend all you want - it doesn't change the nature of the problem I've raised here.
