Perry, et all,

I have the same eqpt, have for 3 yrs. I've had the prob before. Also, I have been able to get the eqpt to work properly by doing the dreaded " re-boot" as recommended by Directv. However, before you ALL poo-poo this idea, do the re-boot like I have done, and MAYBE your machine will fall into line.

i Got this suggestion from a DELL tech, years ago. Because these things use PC type technology, REPEATED re-boots MAY correct errant behavior.

So, I have re-booted mine up to 4 times in a row, and this procedure seems to straighten it out, for months at-a-time. After re-booting, and your machine is back, RE-BOOT AGAIN ! Repeat 3 more times. This seems to fix all irritations I have found popping up, at least for a while.

NOTE: I suspect all of these probs are caused by multiple commands, prior to the machine's completing the first command. This weakness applies to ALL PC technology bassed computers, making them unstable. The repeated re-booting seems to fix this.

ED: if this was APPLE technology, this wouldn't be happening.

hope this works for you.

GOOD LUCK!!

Ray
