So, I have been around the forums in the last few days, and I am now familiar with the On Demand not working. I have not seen my issue posted before, so I am wondering if it's something that I may be able to fix in my settings or something. The On Demand for any channel I try gives the following message:
"All or part of this program was not recorded due to a problem at broadcast time."
This one is one I have seen on here during times of poor signal (usually due to inclement weather). Has anyone ever seen this when trying to use On Demand? I have had the service for about a week now and this feature has never worked. I have not yet called tech support, mostly because those guys don't usually know anything beyond the scripts they have been handed to respond to problems with. I worked in satellite communications in the military, basically installing dishes so I know a little bit about this stuff (although DirecTV's system and software are quite a bit different).
After looking through the settings a bit, I was able to figure out how to view signal strength. So, I am posting it here:
1 - 8 95 96 96 0 95 99 95 99
9 - 16 95 95 97 0 96 100 96 99
17 - 24 95 0 97 0 96 100 97 100
25 - 32 96 0 96 83 97 100 96 100
I see some things that make me curious, but I am unable to completely decipher what they mean. All five tuners are at 95% signal. This system was professionally installed, so I am not the one who set it up. I am using a HR44NC-700 (advanced Genie DVR). Also in my system: a WVRBR0-01 (wireless bridge) and one C41WNC-100 (wireless mini-Genie). It is hooked up to my home WiFi for internet, and it shows SWiM connected and Internet connected. Both receivers are labelled.
Please let me know if there is any other info I need to provide. I appreciate any help you guys can provide. Thank you!
