I received a two new Genie type RC72 remotes and am trying to program an old SONY KV-13FM13 tv with one of them and a Mitsubishi LT-40153 with the other. The Sony is on a C41 Genie Mini and the Mitsu is on a HR24.
On the C41 , When I go to Settings, Remote Control, Program Remote, all I get is to switch between RF/IR, no choice for setting up device i.e. AV or TV.
On the HR24 with the Mitsu, I get to pick AV1, AV2 or TV, but none of the Mitsu codes will work when I do the volume test.
I reset the C41 to no avail.
I did notice that when you get to the instructions for setting up the TV on the HR24 Step 1 says to put remote into TV Input mode but you can't do that on the RC72 since there is no slider switch, so is this step supposed to be skipped with the new RC72 remotes ?
I know that the RC72 works with old Sony's as I have another one on a C41 also and that one works just fine.
I also have another RC72 working with a different Sony on a HR24-500.
Anyone have any ideas on these two problems ?
