Yes, don't know if it is my imagination or not; but since I've been doing the CLEARMYBOX reset, essentially on a daily basis now for at least a month or more, it seems as though the restored degree of responsiveness lasts for shorter and shorter periods of time. I think I had last posted that it was lasting about 12 to 24 hours on my machine. Well, since college football started at 11:00 am locally yesterday, I did a reset late morning or mid-day; but by last night (or actually early evening) the responsiveness was pretty much gone so I had to do a second reset to be able to finish watching any of the night games. At that point I called DirecTV about the issue, yet again. I asked this tech specialist if the 0x8ca software downloaded earlier this month was supposed to be the fix for the HR22. She replied without hesitation that 'NO - it was not the fix for the HR22'. I told her that in a way that was good news because if it was suppose to be the fix, they either needed to send me a replacement receiver or terminate my account because that particular software did not help my receiver at all. Other than being able to confirm what I had seen in some of the posts in this forum about the 0x8ca software not being the intended fix for the HR22, essentially the only other thing she told me was that their engineers are still working on the problems for the HR22, and she could not provide any kind of schedule or timeline (to paraphrase). My conversation with her did not leave me with any confidence that a pending solution is near.
