I apologize for posting this here, the site is so broken it won't let me open my own post.
Our DVR will not record the premiere episode of some shows, instead it will wait for the encore episode later in the night. We have several shows set to record a series and it suddenly stopped recording the premiers. We don't understand why.
For example right now a certain talk show has already aired, but it didn't record it. Instead it recorded the one coming on in two hours...... Normally it happens with a certain Zombie show. Skips the premiere, records the encore.
To go through a list of possible issues.
-We have "Zombie Show" set to highest on the DVR list, so even if other shows are recording it should still get that one.
-Even with that, we have nothing else recording at all during this time. It also happens with other shows randomly with nothing else recording.
-We got "Zombie Show" to record on time, now "Talk Show" didnt.
-Channel listing shows it recording sometimes, but on the day of it will randomly switch to the encore.... It's all set to auto, so nobody is switching it, but I've caught it and manually recorded it myself. I simply forgot it was being stupid and didn't do it today, and it switched to the encore episode.........
Assuming it mostly happens to "A certain channel", I figured it was DirecTV probably screwing with it to hurt their ratings due to their childish greed battle....
