We recently switched from HR-20 HD DVR's to a Genie HR-34 and a Genie Mini. So far I'm quite unimpressed. We've had numerous problems, the latest of which is if I record a program and then later watch some piece of it, I sometimes want to switch to another channel for a while and then return to the recorded program and I obviously want to return to the point where I last switched away. In other words, I want to RESUME, not START OVER.
But with the HR-34 if I leave a recorded program and then return to it using the "prev" button, the recorded program starts over at the beginning. This is just flat wrong and the HR-20's never behaved this way. Is this how an HR-34 Genie is intended to work??? Or might it simply be bad hardware???
