A couple days ago I noticed that several of the buttons on my remote were sluggish and unresponsive occasionally and with no apparent pattern. I reset the receiver, using the reset button behind the card door, as suggested in the owners manual and by a representative from DTV. When that didn't fix the problem, I unplugged the receiver. When I plugged it back in there was no signal. I still was on the telephone with the DTV representative and after running a setup diagnostic, was informed that I would need a service call to remedy the problem. The next available slot for a service call is 25 days away! It worked fine but for the button inconvenience before I reset and unplugged it, and now nothing, and nothing can be done without a service call? Really? What could have happened?
