It's either the dish is out of align or has an obstruction over the top of it. Also, check all cable connections including splitters between the dish and the Genie. Check your signal strength by selecting Menu/Settings/Sat and Antenna. There are several satellites used; you can check your signal level on each satellite. DirecTV can help you if your signal is too weak on any of them by sending out a tech to adjust the dish. (if you do not have their extended warranty, you may want to have them add it to your monthly bill before they send a tech). Good luck.
