Paula10ac, I've been succesfully using an older HR-20 DVR with both a Genie box and Actiontec transmitter and two receivers. First, make sure you have the most current software update for the Actiontec devices. You'll find that and instructions to download/install the software on their website. The Actiontec system seems to work best for me when I don't use the transmitter's pass-through feature (use separate HDMI outputs run through a newer audio receiver* with multi-HDMI outputs or get a splitter). I do have to unplug and then plug in power from the Actiontec receivers on occasion after I turn off either of the remote TVs, which I've learned to live with. Also, when you change from certain channels on your DTV box (typically the premiums), you may have to unplug/plug-in power from both the Actiontec transmitter and its receivers to re-establish a connection. This can be annoying if you frequently switch between premiums and network channels, but the HD signal I receive is great on both remote TVs without running coax or extra DTV receivers. (Don't be surprised to see a blank screen on your main TV for a couple of seconds after you restore power to the Actiontecs. Just some quirky thing about HDMIs, but your picture will return.) BTW, when I power cycle the Actiontecs, I just unplug the power cords from the back of the units which is much easier for me than pulling out the wall plug each time. *Note: make sure the audio receiver is NOT powered on otherwise you'll have picture with no sound on the remote TVs. You're just using the audio receiver's hdmi pass-through/splitter capability. So, if you want to see AND hear the remote TVs, you have to forego audio output from the audio receiver and receive sound only from the main TV's internal speakers or speakers plugged directly into that TV. If anyone can figure out a way around that, I'd be very interested. Hope this helps. Good luck!
