I too have experienced the same issue. My installer was not aware of the problem, and when I called DirecTV Service, they also seemed to be unaware. They created a ticket to their service department, but several weeks later I still have heard nothing from them. At least I now realize I am not alone. I was about to ask for a replacement Genie, but that would loose my recordings and schedules. I also now know that would not resolve the issue.

A search through this forum brings multiple hits with this issue. How is it that DirecTV seems to be completely unaware?

I'm a new subscriber, and this does not bode well for their service and support!
