Which iPhone & iPad do you have, and are you using iOS7 on both devices? Also what manufacturer & model is the Wireless Access Point or router that you are connecting through, and is this in your home, or is it a Public Wifi that you are using, when trying to use the GenieGo app?
Try deleting the wifi Access Point that you are connecting to in Settings > Wi-Fi, then attempt to connect back to the A/P that you are using in your home.
After that, delete the GenieGo app from the iPhone, then go to the App Store and download it again.
