actually it did auto tune. It was on channel 22 (cbs here) and the little box came up saying it was going to autotune to catfish at 10 pm (that was on the recording) so it did change channels. I had it set to change to nashville (abc channel 57) at 10 pm but that one got overridden. So putting it on the channel in advance would have done no good.
Now at 2 am, when I originally had it set for catfish, it did not auto tune since that show was no longer showing at 2 am.
I was looking at my posting history and the same thing happened last year and I guess I'd forgotten. Same 2 shows too. I would upgrade my box but there's no way I'm entering into another contract.
I should have mentioned that I did reset it in the past few days.
eta: if there's no way to prevent it from changing the auto tune schedule on me, I will just not auto tune anything on mtv and try to catch it whenever. Catfish is not that important to me and I know if I miss it, it'll be on again. And again.
