Problem with new VOD menu system?

My questions specifically concern The Anime Network (TAN) on channel 1889.  VOD content for this channel is usually loaded on Thursday mornings, just after midnight EST.  Today, I noted no new content on channel 1889, but there was a new menu system - one which omitted the "All" and "Just Added" options that had previously been in place.  Now - the new content that was missing on channel 1889 (and still is, as of noon EST today) was found via search on channel 1000, under the "animation" subhead.  All content pitched from TAN was available here, but none of it was available from TAN's channel 1889.

Further, the old list-based selection screens displayed icons for shows that either were queued to record, were currently recording, or were ready for playback.  The new DVD cover-based menu did not consistently display those icons for content I'd previously recorded, and it didn't seem to matter if I'd actually viewed the program or not as to whether a "ready for playback" icon appeared for that program.  Equipment:  HR44-200 receiver only.

Questions:

1. Why isn't TAN's new content available on TAN's channel?

2. Why have the "All" and "Just Added" options been removed from the TAN menu screen?

3. Did the removal of those options have anything to do with the missing content on TAN's channel?

4. Why the inconsistency with the "queued/recording/play" icons?

Note - this is an active topic on The Anime Network's forums, with at least 2 other DTV subscribers posting similar symptoms.
