You probably downloaded the same software you already had and the problems will return and you are lucky you didn't download Beta software that could cause more problems. Do not force downloads.

Actually X0925 is test software.  This is the exact same reason why is not recommended to force a software download.

Caller ID is hit-or-miss with all of  DirecTV's DVR/Receivers due to the wide variety of phone network configurations.  There's no way to know for sure whether or not it will work for you.

Keep you eyes on eBay for a "owned" D12 SD Receiver which will work with your SWM dish.  Just be sure to validate the "Receiver ID Number" with DirecTV before buying any used equipment.

Then you are doing some thing wrong. Because that is the way to set up the AVR volume to work on the DirecTV position
