Re: Can I share signal from genie client to a second tv?
OK. tried this again. With my few years old Sony HDTV, when the HDTV went into standby I lost the SD output on the C41. With my new Samsung, I didn't, it worked fine.
View ArticleRe: Genie not staying connected to internet
OK. I just figured out that my router does have DHCP enabled. Does that mean that the range extender that the DECA is currently plugged into also have DHCP enabled?
View ArticleRe: Genie Go continually drops internet connection
Nothing to do with Genie Go. haha HR44-500 and as originally stated it's on WIFI and was installed by Directv installers.
View ArticleRe: Ordering PPV or On Demand from phone???
You can order PPV movies from the "normal" PPV channels (100's), but not OnDemand. And there's an extra charge when you order PPV movies using your phone. What model DVR/Receiver do you have? If...
View ArticleRe: How can I ensure that the Genie won't delete more of my unwatched shows?
Isn't that what "last update 6/10 at 1:19 am, a week and a half ago. Software version 0x870. " was?
View ArticleRe: Replacement receiver
i was already on the phone with the direct tv rep and we did a bunch of tests and she said it was my box because why would every channel come in but 4 or 5 you know?
View ArticleRe: How can I ensure that the Genie won't delete more of my unwatched shows?
0x870 is not "beta software". That's the official release that solved this problem on the Genie DVRs. If you're still having the same issue, then something else is wrong. Are you still have this...

View ArticleRe: Ordering PPV or On Demand from phone???
I thought I got an error message on the phone when I tried ("PPV auth failed", or something). On Demand works fine from the box. If I do purchase something for the box, can I still watch the same...
View ArticleRe: Replacement receiver
Your signal maybe borderline and the receivers tuners have different sensitivity to that signal so may show 771 on some and not others.
View ArticleRe: Ordering PPV or On Demand from phone???
What model is your "box"? If OnDemand downloads fine, then you should be able to pay for the movie when you're ready to view it. It's unlikely that you can view that movie on your PC or tablet.
View ArticleRe: Replacement receiver
Please post back those satellite readings and we can be sure. If your reception is marginal, it might only affect a few channels. No need to lose your recordings and settings if the problem isn't the...
View ArticleRe: Ordering PPV or On Demand from phone???
Thanks for the responses. I have a HR-34 and a HR-22. On demand movies definitely work fine there. For online (for example, the movie "The Muppets") , it says watch online for $3.99, but it's grayed...
View ArticleRe: Issues installing new Genie Whole Home system
Correct the Genie or the minis do not need the DECA Home adapters and the HR 24's do not need the DECA home adapters either.
View ArticleRe: Should I upgrade to the genie?
You have nothing to worry about as long as you have a professional installer who knows his or her stuff
View ArticleRe: Why does my HR44 download 100GB/day since latest software update?
Once I cancelled the download request for the movie the issue stopped. Seeing other complaints around the internet I advised my wife to NOT use the new lookback feature. Genie recommends is not enabled.
View ArticleRe: Should I upgrade to the genie?
I echo Texasbrit's suggestion. Having DVR's in place of the minis is a big plus to your system. You can inform the installer when he arrives as to which HD DVR's you wish to retain, he can alter the...

View ArticleRe: Can I share signal from genie client to a second tv?
If you get the COMPONENT Video dongle for your C41, then you could feed HiDef video to the second TV. But it would require FIVE coax cables .... 3 for the Component Video (red, blue and green) and two...
