Re: On demand is not recording Fargo...then it kicks me off!!!

Oh my, you are not the only one who has a problem with downloading FARGO! I have been trying also for the last 2 weeks to watch missed programs. So last week when I called they informed me they are aware of the download problem! So I gave them some time to correct the problem. This week I called and I informed them I also have a problem with partial download along with VOD (Video On Demand) problem. I had a conversation with the second rudest Customer Service Rep yet I have encountered With Direct TV. There seems to be a couple Reps working for them that should be discharged, but DirecTV obliviously does not screen their call centers. This woman had the audacity to tell the partial downloads where my fault and that POSSIBLITY some one or some ghost was cancelling all my recording prematurely and there was nothing DirecTV could do about!!

So, moving on the download problem. This wonderful Customer Rep said they are aware of the VOD problem and are working on he problem and it will get solved when it get solved. So I asked her until that problem is solved can I get compensated on my monthly bill? My thinking that if enough customers demand a rebate for **** POOR service maybe when DIRECTV sees a loss of revenue that it expedite the problem. Her answer to my question was, and this is a dozy!
That VOD of missed episodes was a FREE Service, SO no compensation was entitled and that they will get the problems solved when they get it solved.
Needles to say, I lost it on her!.
So I called back twice more and talked to two very polite but not very helpful reps. The second Rep told me about this forum to post my complaints on it!

So now moving forward, I read on the forums that I’m not the only one with this gripe and that to try different things to determine a problem or a pattern. One of the suggestions was to download music from channel 1239. When I attempted, and that also error out saying there was not enough bandwidth to download the VOD.

So next call to Cox Communications. Now, this where this gets really interesting. While discussing my Internet speeds with the Rep, he share with my USAGE is 4 time what my maximum allotment is 100 gigs a month. I’m at 425gb and the month is not over!

So ***!!  After resetting the entire network and passwords! The only possible clue left to where the EXCESS down load problem is DirecTV! Trying to Download OVER and OVER and failing and FAILING and retrying to down load the missing episodes of FARGO.

My next call is now to DirecTV and we will now be doing some DANCING!

PS I did up the speed to 25Mbpbs and Yes problem still appears to be there
