My problem is the same as mnanda below except that my computer is windows 7 and my browsers are, Firefox and Chrome... why don't you just use the onboard media players? I have spent all day trying to get this to work and used every method listed on the internet.
The Problem: When I try to watch content online via the new "Watch DirectTV" interface, content stops loading at 85% and I get the following message: "Your browser may be displaying an alert asking you for your permission to allow a DIRECTTV Video Player plug-in. Please allow installation to watch videos on directv.com"
Multiple Browsers: I get this error whether I'm using Safari or Chrome.
Multiple Content Sources: I get this error whether I'm trying to watch content available via HBO or Showtime.
Troubleshooting Steps I've already taken:
–uninstalled and reinstalled the plug-in.
–checked security settings in all browsers - the plug-in is allowed.
–changed permission so that browser was required to ask me whether I allowed the plug in. Made no difference.
–made sure that Adobe Flash was up-to-date/latest version.
–tried different browsers.
–tried different content.
–checked system security settings - firewall not blocking DirectTV.
My System:
–Macbook Pro running Mavericks OSX 10.9.3
–Safari version: 7.0.3
–Chrome Version 38.0.2125.122 ("up to date")
–Plug-in Version: DirectTV_Player_11.0 (was not given choice which plug-in to download).
I can provide screen grabs if that's helpful. Unclear whether this is a users only forum or if Direct monitors and provides solutions; hoping it's the later as don't want to have to explain all this again on the phone.
Watch DirtectTV seems like a great service... I really like the organization of the interface; would love to get it to work.
