I tried to change so that registered users can see the info but the 'save' function won't work.

Re: Client Receiver Keeps Deleting Programs.
"There is settings to stop clients from deleting..." would imply that there are, indeed, "settings".

Re: Client Receiver Keeps Deleting Programs.
Good to know. In the menu, it has a setting to determine if the play list can be seen by other clients on the network as well as the ability to delete. No where at all does it say that this setting is strictly for DVR's.

Re: Client Receiver Keeps Deleting Programs.
Typo, my mistake. It should have been, THEY ARE NO SETTINGS>>>
Re: Client Receiver Keeps Deleting Programs.
Right, is the nature of the clients
Re: When to start record on channel following program with unknown stop time?
Correct. When I record 60 minutes, I usually record the following two episodes, to just do a manual recording for a 3 hour period
Re: Client Receiver Keeps Deleting Programs.
Okay, thanks.
Also, in the manual it reads "Your HD DVR can be set to prevent another location from deleting
programs that were recorded by that HD DVR." It goes on to show the setting in the menu for this. But setting the option to not share stopped sharing, but setting it to not delete did nothing. To me, it would seem that this is an error in programming of the machine itself - since there are detailed instructions on how to do this - And with pictures.

Re: Client Receiver Keeps Deleting Programs.
don’t know what other words to use. It can’t be done.
Re: Client Receiver Keeps Deleting Programs.
You are confusing DTVs wording DTV considers the HR24 model and below as HDDVRs the Genie is not an HDDVR it is a Genie with clients.
I don't have a Genie so I don't know how the settings are worded but I've read that you can't prevent the clients from seeing the playlist on the Genie.

Same as an HDDVR. What matter is not the DVR, but the client topology
Re: i can not select an external drive in the preferences mac oxx client
You can’t specify external drives on the GenieGo Mac app. Only internal drive is supported
Re: Which universal remote?
Any Universal Remote will work
Re: HDR not responding to the standard remote for quite a few min after the dvr is woken up
First thing to try is resetting your DVR/Receiver using the red button behind the front panel access card door. See if that helps. ( on side panel on H25 receivers
Re: Remote Codes (both standard remote & smaller Genie) for LG 55EC9300
What is the model of your Genie?
For the older remote, the code for LG is 11423
Slide switch to TV
1. Press and hold MUTE and SELECT (LED flashes twice)
2. Enter 11423

Re: i can not select an external drive in the preferences mac oxx client
well it would be nice if they mentioned that on the page for the device...
shortsighted on their part as well the could have hooked the drm to the serial number embedded in each mac to prevent people dumping a load of progarms on a thumb drive for friends.... off to do some hacking to get around this brain fead "feature" and no i won't pass on any thing i learn how to do to anyone else
Cannot play programs from external HD
Hello -
I upgraded to the HR44/700 receiver recently, and reconnected everything as it was with the old receiver. At first, I was able to play shows from my external HD, but I'm now getting the message:
"All of part of this program was not recorded due to a problem at broadcast time. Please wait while we scan the recording for viewable content."
This isn't a weather issue or anything like that, as there are shows on here that I have watched with the old receiver. The programs won't play on my upstairs receiver, either. What's even more weird is this newest box was a replacement for the reciver that was sent to me a few months ago, and the hard drive crashed, so they had to replace it. So, it doesn't make sense that the shows would play on that receiver, but not this one.
Any assistance with this issue?
Re: Cannot play programs from external HD
Recorded shows are encrypted to the DVR that made them. You can’t play recorded shows from the old hard drive on the new DVR. The only exception is OTA recordings
Re: Cannot play programs from external HD
If you are saying that you are using an external hard drive and it has programs that were recorded on the earlier HR44 then that is the problem. The hard drive and programs are coded for the DVR they were recorded on only. You can NOT move the external hard drive to a new DVR. It must be reformatted for the new DVR and that will remove all old recordings. It may have taken the new DVR a short time to see that the drive was NOT paired with the new DVR. They will not play over the wholehouse system either as they first have to bedecoded and sent over the system by the DVR it is attached to. Since the hard drive was not setup for the new DVR, it will not work.
Hr24-100 turns itself on.
MY HR24-100 turns itself and my tv on. It also will go to guide while watching tv, go to My Directv and even record shows not being watched or set to record. can anyone help me out?
